Reduce what is sent to the landfill by turning your kitchen scraps and yard waste into garden gold! Whether you live in a home on a small lot or large rural property, Amador County Master Gardeners will cover practical ways to begin composting at home. In this informative class we will discuss different compost methods and provide "hands on" instruction on how to build, maintain and harvest your compost pile.

 

Class objectives:

v   Why home composting is important

v   What can be composted

v   How to use compost, along with its benefits

v   Examples of different composting methods and how they work

v   Tips, suggestions and methods designed to guarantee success

 

Note: This class will be held outside (rain or shine) and in-person.
