What to do with all those tomatoes, peppers & zucchini

If you are looking for ways to extend your harvest or take advantage of the produce from the Farmer’s Market, join us to learn how to extend the life of your tomatoes, peppers and zucchini into yearlong enjoyment. This class will cover the essential techniques of dehydration, freezing and canning low acid foods safely. We will explore making salsa, zucchini relish, zucchini pickles, smoked paprika made from sweet peppers, tomato sauce and more.  

Join us for a fun filled morning.

When: Saturday, August 8th, from 9am to 12pm (Check-in begins at 8:45 am; class starts promptly at 9:00.)

Fee: $5 (payable at the door by cash/check payable to UC Regents)

Location: Amador County GSA Building, 12200-B Airport Road, Jackson
