This outreach event will focus on teaching PCAs about citrus mealybug, an emerging concern for citrus growers. We will spend time on pest identification, its and biology and seasonal phenology, scouting/monitoring, and best management practices using the available tools. David Haviland will lecture on ant control, and presentation on ongoing research activities and recent results. With this knowledge, PCAs can monitor the fields for mealybug infestation and develop informed management strategies.
