Class: Woody Plant Biology
This class will cover the basic biological functions of woody trees and shrubs, including how they obtain nutrients, their growth habits, wound response, and related functions. It is required for new members of the MMG Pruning Guild and is highly recommended for anyone interested in taking future Pruning Guild lectures, as this information will not be covered in other classes. Woody Plant Biology, along with the second class in our Pruning Guild series “Introduction to Aesthetic Pruning” provide essential, fundamental information for individuals who prune or who wish to advice on pruning.
