Stretching Your Food Dollars with Food Preservation
Soups, stews, broths and more
Come learn how to make family friendly, economically nutritious one pot meals. We will be focusing on food freezing tips, pressure canning, and water bath canning to make stews, soups, broth and more that can be made ahead of time.
This is the time of year to start thinking about preserving foods for the upcoming year. In California, we have a long growing season, and you can take advantage in stretching food dollars by using foods when they become seasonally available and most affordable. We will discuss best ways to store food in refrigerator, freezer, counter tops & cupboards.
Join us for a cozy morning featuring family-friendly recipes, flavoring strategies and fun.
