2025 Glenn County 4-H Camp - Youth Camper Application
Glenn County 4-H Youth Camp
June 19-22, 2025
Camp Tehama in Mill Creek, California
Registration and Camp Fees are due Monday, May 5, 2025
Glenn County 4-H Camp is a fun three-day camping experience in a rustic setting in Mill Creek, California, in our neighboring County. Enjoy the short drive, get some fresh air, and enjoy a fun Camping experience with your existing friends and meet new friends where you create long-lasting relationships!
Youth, Staff, and Volunteers work together from the planning phase through the duration of camp with a strong youth-adult partnership to create an environment where participants feel a sense of belonging, can build relationships, and we can emphasize learning by doing.
Camp is structured daily with fun activities such as crafts, tie-dye, archery, fun STEM activities, outdoor cooking, fishing, fort building, and so much more! Our Teen Camp Counselors plan evening themes for youth to dress up and bring them to the evening campfire, where youth learn fun, silly songs and participate in fun challenges! Incentivizing positive behavior, youth can earn “camp money” and purchase fun rewards at our 4-H camp store.
Our Camp Cook has over 20 years of experience cooking for camps, events, and large activities. She brings new flavors and always has a variety of options. Camp participants have daily scheduled shower rotations and wear a swimsuit during this time. There are also shower curtains to provide additional modesty. Our resident Certified Nurse is always present and available during camp.
All Staff and Adult Volunteers are approved through the California 4-H Adult Volunteer process, where they receive training and are required to pass a FBI/DOJ clearance.
There is fun for everyone at our Glenn County 4-H Camp!
All 4-H members and their friends (non-4-H members), ages 9-13 years old, as of December 31, 2024, are invited. Primary members (5-8 years old by December 31, 2024) are allowed to attend Camp with their Parent Chaperone present for the duration of Camp. Those members 14-18 years of age, as of December 31, 2024, will need to apply and be chosen as a Camp Counselor to attend camp. The cost of 4-H Camp is $120.00. With a generous donation from the AltaCal Audobon Society and the Tractor Supply Paper Clover Campaign, we can provide a $20.00 scholarship to apply towards all 4-H youth camp fees, bringing the camper fee to $100.00 which includes a 4-H camp t-shirt to tie dye at camp and all meals. You must be enrolled in Glenn County 4-H. If you are not a current 4-H Member, you must complete 4-H Enrollment online at: https://zsuites.org, and pay the enrollment fees of $70.00. The enrollment fee provides access to 4-H opportunities for the remainder of the 2024-2025 program year and includes accident insurance and curriculum. Fee Waivers are available for qualifying families in need. Monthly household cash income is at or below 185% of the Federal Poverty guidelines. (Reference: https://www.fns.usda.gov/cn/income-eligibility-guidelines) To access the fee waiver for 4-H Enrollment, visit: https://ucanr.edu/sites/glenn/files/400279.pdf.
Applications are being accepted on a "first come, first serve" basis. A waiting list may be established before the due date, as we can only accept a limited number of campers who meet the youth/adult ratio.
4-H Camp fees can be made in cash, by check to "Glenn County 4-H," or by paying online by credit card at the end of this survey. A $2.00 credit card fee will be charged. The credit card survey link will also appear after registration is complete.
