Open to all community members. Come learn hands-on skills to burn piles created by vegetation management projects or defensible space. We will discuss weather, permits, tools, how to safely construct and light piles and monitoring piles once lit. Due to location, registration is capped at 25 people.
Cost: $10
What to bring: leather gloves, water bottle, your favorite metal tool (shovel, rake, etc). Tools will be available at the workshop as well. Optional: eye protection, hat
What to wear: Natural fibered clothing (cotton or wool), good sturdy boots (preferably leather)
Workshop will occur rain or shine. Workshop might be canceled due weather (wind, temperature, etc.) or due to air quality. An alternate date will be chosen in the event of a canceled workshop.
