This workshop will provide the essential foundation for safely preserving fresh tomatoes. The class will review the types of tomatoes used for canning and tomato preparation. Preservation methods to be demonstrated include steam and water bath canning and dehydration. Attendees will learn how to can crushed tomatoes and salsa. Be prepared for your bumper crop of tomatoes!
A limited number of preservation books will be available for purchase after the class. Cash or checks only.
