Introduction to Crutching, Wigging, and Catch Pen Dynamics - 2024

You have reached the registration for Introduction to Crutching, Wigging, and Catch Pen Dynamics, October 11-13, 2024 (Friday from 12-5pm, Saturday 8am-5pm, Sunday 8am-3pm) at the UC Hopland Research and Extension Center. Please complete the survey below to make your registration. Registration closes October 1/when filled.

This is an advanced class, with prerequisites:

  • Participants must have attended a shearing school/training.
  • Participants must have shearing experience.

Equity pricing is available with a flexible payment scale from $200-$400.

Co-ed dormitory style housing is available for an additional $20 per night.

EQUITY PRICING

The Hopland Research and Extension Center is committed to building an inclusive community. We are trying something new called equity pricing that we hope will serve the community better and allow us to recover the costs of this class. 

Registration is $400 per person (includes instruction, materials). If you are unable to pay $400, please use our income guide and sliding scale to adjust your course cost. Minimum payment is $200. 

To assist you in determining an appropriate payment amount for your circumstances, 2024 Mendocino County U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development low income indicator data is provided as guidance.

SCHOLARSHIP
To apply for a scholarship courtesy of Fibershed, please complete the below questions. Scholarship application deadline 9/10/2024 at 5pm PT. A payment of $50 is still required for scholarship participants to ensure commitment.
