El Dorado County is graced with handsome and enduring California Oaks that are vital to our natural environment. New construction, irrigated lawns and cultivated land can endanger them, and they need proper care to continue to thrive. Join Master Gardeners for a presentation on the various methods to maintain and protect these wonderful trees and learn how to identify the various species. After the presentation we will take a brief walk around the campus to check out the various oak species.
