Thank you for taking time to apply for the Strategic Initiative Leader position.

SI panels serve to unify, communicate and advocate within ANR and outside ANR. SI Leaders strive to seek information from within their panels to help inform discussions related to programmatic resources within ANR. Panels vary in their frequency and duration of meetings. The SI Leader will represent the panel at Program Council. Program Council meets the first Tuesday and subsequent Wednesday of each month (not in August). These meetings may be via zoom or in person at UC ANR or a Research and Extension Center. These are mandatory meetings. Panels will have considerable input into the visioning process.

Strategic Initiative Leaders continuing in their roles are Helen Dahlke (Water Quality, Quantity and Security), Josh Davy (Sustainable Natural Ecosystem) and Tom Turini (Endemic and Invasive Pests and Diseases).

SI Leaders are expected to attend the following monthly meetings (except August):

First Tuesday SI leader meeting from 12:30 – 2:30
First Tuesday Program Council meeting from 3:00 – 5:00
First Wednesday Program Council meeting from 8:00 – 3:00

Some of these meetings will be in person, requiring travel to the meeting site.
