2023 University of California Garden Nutrition Extender Application

 

To complete this application you will need to provide information about previous experience, schedule availability and professional or personal references. Applications will be reviewed and applicants will be notified within two weeks after the close of applications.

We have a limited number of training spaces. Please provide as much information as possible to be considered for this training cohort.

Interest in becoming a UC Garden Nutrition Extender

UC Garden Nutrition Extenders will be required to attend an initial training totaling 32 hours, not including homework assignments. In order to become a UC Garden Nutrition Extender, you will be required to attend all trainings in a session. 

   

There is a one time fee of $250 for the training and materials.  There may be additional $60-$95 in annual fees to cover liability insurance, TB testing and fingerprinting when volunteering at schools (for non employees).  Please contact the coordinator if you have further questions or need a scholarship.  

Please list at least 2 personal or professional references who have knowledge of your capacity to work with youth, conduct presentations, and/or garden.
