If we get funding to conduct a study looking at different coyote brush control methods, would you be interseted in participating in the project? We are specifically looking for properties that have grassland where coyote brush is encroaching into the grassland.
If yes, would you consider allowing us to test all of the following treatment methods?
- Masticator
- Chainsaw
- Herbicide
- Prescribed fire
If we get this project funded, it will likely be through a CAL FIRE grant. So, we would need to conduct CEQA (California Environmental Quality Act). This is environmental compliance for projects that are state funded and have ground disturbance. Would you be comfortable having CEQA done for the portion of your property where the project would take place?
