Matt Ritter:

California’s Native Plants and Urban Forests

 

Matt Ritter Ph.D. is an acclaimed author and botany professor in the Biological Sciences Department at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, California. Dr. Ritter’s engaging and entertaining talk will be a botanical tour of California, with natural and cultural history stories of our most iconic plants.  Join him for a photographic expose of the state’s interesting native flora, the trees we decide to plant in our cities, and how we can improve our planting choices.

Parking available at adjacent 7th Street parking garage. (First hour free; then $.50 per hour) 

 

For security reasons, gates and doors for entry to the Campus and Auditorium will be locked at 7:00 PM.  Please plan to arrive early.

 

6:00 pm: Doors open to browse Matt’s books and book signing

7:00 pm - 8:00 pm: Lecture

8:30 pm - 9:00 pm: Book signing and refreshments

 

Cost:

  • $20.00 all sales
  • seating is limited

 

Only credit card payment is accepted.

 

  • Masking will follow Sonoma County Guidance
  • Assistive Hearing Devices Available on a first come/first serve basis
  • The Glaser Center is ADA compliant
  • Videography and photography will take place and may be posted on YouTube, the UC Master Gardener Program of Sonoma County website, and other social media sites.
