Camp- Site and Facilities

The physical setting of the camp is important in planning your program and achieving your outcomes. Most 4-H camps operate on rented property, many using the same site yearly.  Changes in the site, regulations, management or pricing may affect the ability to provide a quality program. Whether the site is rented or owned, familiar or new, the persons planning the camp experience have responsibilities for assuring that health and safety regulations are being met and for establishing positive relations with the on-site manager.

In order to assess your awareness of your camp’s site and facilities, please answer each question below. After you have completed this assessment, you will be directed to a website where you can get additional resources to help you expand your skills, knowledge and abilities to assess a site that will help achieve your outcomes, and clarify your responsibilities for the site operations.
