Every parent or guardian wants to be confident that their child will be mentally, physically and emotionally safe while at camp. The health and wellness area of camp involves all the components that address healthy living and prevention of illness and injury. It also includes medical treatment, medication distribution, and record keeping. The person(s) responsible for the health and wellness of a camp are legally liable for all matters regarding the medical treatment or medication of the campers.

In order to assess your awareness of the subject, a series of questions have been listed below. Please answer each question to the best of your ability. After you have completed this assessment, you will be directed to a website where you can get additional resources to help you expand your skills, knowledge and abilities to operate your camp.
