Camp- Risk Management

 

Safety has always been a key concern of any 4-H experience. Risk management planning is a structured process that provides for a safe experience for participants and staff. The plan also works to protect the organization from loss and helps assure the continuance of the program.  Risk management plans include systems to identify, evaluate, reduce, prevent, or control loss of resources associated with the operation of a camp. Knowledge of 4-H standards and legal requirements help planners understand the “Standard of Care” expected by parents and the organization.
