THIRD THURSDAY THINGS from the FIELD (TTTF): Economics of Orchard Management Changes

A monthly event to meet Sac Valley orchard farm advisors in a casual setting and get timely updates on things we've been seeing in the field.

This Month: Economics of Orchard Management Changes
UCCE Ag. Economics advisor, Domena Agyeman will present on how to analyze orchard management changes. He will cover how to use partial budgeting to assess the costs and benefits of alternative management practices, such as changes in fertilizer and pesticide management programs and thinning practices, to support decision-making. He will also discuss other farm business analysis tools and when to use them to evaluate orchard management decisions.

After the presentation, we'll open the floor to discuss issues and concerns from the field for all tree crops. Bring your questions for an open forum of growers, PCAs, industry members, and farm advisors.

This is an in-person event.
