Chaperone Eligibility

To be a Camp Chaperone, you must:

  • Be 25 years of age by December 31, 2025
  • Be a certified 4-H volunteer. Complete the enrollment process required to be a certified 4-H volunteer. If you are not currently enrolled as a 4-H volunteer and active in ZSuite, you must complete all of the NEW volunteer steps linked here.  

Note:  Chaperones will pay a reduced fee of $100 towards lodging and food costs. 


Camp Chaperone Application Process

            1. Complete the chaperone Application and be selected.
            2. Complete the UC CA State 4-H Overnight Chaperone training (Bi-annually)
            3. Complete the online training for First Aid and CPR. (Bi-annually) You do not need to buy the card, please send a screen shot of the page that says, "Congratulations, you passed."
            4. Send confirmation of training to tdaly@ucanr.edu.
            5. All Adult Volunteers must adhere to the Adult Volunteer Code of Conduct.

            ADULT Chaperone Application

            Please use this application to indicate your interest in participating

            as an adult chaperone for the 2026 Alameda 4-H Summer Camp. 

            Applications will be held open until all chaperone positions are filled,

            but will close no later than May 15, 2026.

            The 4-H Camp fee includes all lodging, meals, activities and a camp T-shirt.
