Water Efficient Gardening

Placerville Public Library

345 Fair Ln., Placerville

April 18, 2026

10:30 am to 1:30 pm

With a changing climate, we can expect frequent and large variations in temperature and rain/snowfall.  This class looks at why it is important to conserve water not just in periods of drought but also in periods of plenty.  We will discuss various methods of water application, their strengths and drawbacks, and how we can conserve water including methods of measuring water loss and typical application rates in the foothills.  Finally, we will look at things you can do to survive drought.
