The Forest Stewardship Program, in collaboration with the UC ANR Fire Network, is hosting this 3-part webinar series to provide prospective (and new) forest landowners with tools and resources they can use before buying forestland and to help them make an informed and thoughtful purchasing decision.

Join resource professionals and landowner panels online, Thursdays, 6:00pm - 7:30pm:

October 2nd - Forest Stewardship Considerations: turning motivations for purchasing forestland into management goals and objectives; understanding forest health conditions; and considerations for living in the woods

November 13th - Living with Wildfire Risk: risk assessment and evacuation planning; defensible space requirements; home hardening; and using prescribed fire for vegetation management

December 11th - Financial Practicalities of Owning Forestland: insurance; collaboration efforts with neighboring property owners; and conservation easements
